My sons (10 and 13yrs) did pitching and hitting lessons with Coach Darren. Coach Darren certainly knows how to break down mechanics in a way that young players can understand and obtain. He can quickly identify their issues and comes up with effective drills and techniques to address them. He knows pitching and hitting mechanics equally well. Excellent coach and highly recommend him.

Scott and his staff have worked with my older son 13u through D1Juco / D1 NCAA college baseball. Scotts knowledge of baseball is unmatched . He posseses this ability to successfully teach young players the basic fundamental building blocks that necessary to become a solid player ! At the same time he instilled higher level insight that allowed my son ( and many others) to become a player who was able to sominate the game in high school and college baseball.
That was 13 years ago when he started working with Cyrus. Now hes working with my youngest son and to my surprise his instruction has evolved even further . I cant say enough about Scott and his love for the game, the process and the players . Every minute we have invested with him has been well worth the results, both physically as well as his mental approach he teaches the player/students.

Hands down the best money we’ve ever spent for our son! Hemo and his entire staff have gone above and beyond to help our son excel. We started with lessons in February 2024 and our weekly visits have quickly become my son’s favorite thing to do. It goes way past the skills and fundamentals… the confidence that hemo has instilled in him is something we never thought possible. If I could give 100 stars, I would. My son 15 years old plays High school baseball, at this stage most baseball players decide not to continue because of many issues being coaches negativity or playing time. This is a turning point for most young players . The very first lesson he and his team were able to pinpoint exactly what my son was doing wrong unlike any of his previous travel ball coaches. He is knowledgable in what to do to fix the problem and has come up with his own creative drills for your player to work on. He is very passionate about training, so much that he has worked with my son beyond the clinic's normal set end times on several different occasions. We are very grateful for this as nowadays everyone seems to be all about the money. His rates are very affordable too and we will be moving forward with his personal training sessions soon. We called around trying to find cages to keep my son sharp thru his summer vacation. Scott was kind enough to rush up and open up for us on a last minute call. we just wanted to rent a cage and get some live looks off the machine. Scott while working kept an eye on the boys while they were hitting. At the end of the session Scott pulls the boys aside, points out a few flaws in their swing and then gives them some lessons and drills to take home, We didn’t sign up for lessons yet he was kind enough to work with them. By FAR the best coaching they have ever gotten in just a few minutes!! Highly recommend

My son was having to miss a week of all-star practice due to our family vacation, so I was looking for a place we could get some reps just to stay sharp, but we got way more than that. We found SHB and did a 1-hour cage rental two different days. The first day, it was just us and Coach Hemond there. He took it upon himself to get to know my son and essentially gave him a fielding and hitting lesson before the cage rental even started. The instruction was phenomenal! Coach has a way of breaking it down and explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. We never felt rushed to get in and get out either day we were there. You can tell Coach Hemond and the people there love the game and it's more than just a business. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back next year!

Visiting the area for the week and wanted to hit some balls prior to playing a mens league hame tomorrow… Found this gem. Scott and his team are incredibly smart, and extremely helpful. I booked 30 minutes but quickly realized I wanted to hear their instruction and use their facility for an additional 30. Scott offered some high level advice and Dominic (local HS ballplayer) worked drills with me for the majority of the hour. 35 yrs old and this is the first hitting lesson Ive had (only wanted 30 mins in the cage at first, but they wanted to teach so I was all ears!), and I left there hitting far more barrels than I could’ve on my own. Great team, real professional, old school feel to the place that deserves a seat at the highest levels of baseball instruction.

Great place to get any baseball training. If you're looking to get enhanced training or just touch up some of your techniques this is the place to go. We ran into Scott by accident at a local highschool baseball game and my son started the next week. Regardless of your position you can learn and improve by coming to this baseball facility.

We had a great experience at SHB! We were in town for just a week. I wanted to get my son some batting practice so we reserved a cage for an hour. We ended up getting a lot more than that after one of the owners offered him a few pointers on both his batting and his pitching. We will definitely return the next time we are in town.

I’m gonna go into a bit of detail cause I think it’s important over a generic review. So far it’s been great, I’ve had 2 sessions with Raphael “Raffy”.

I'm on vacation from Phoenix where I play in a men’s league. Since starting to play ball again at 40yo, and after over 20 years without playing, I was rusty. While working out on my own I’ve also done a few different coaches/training. A couple were ok, mostly just small changes, try this and try that. I never really “felt” much of a difference. The most significant in terms of cost and commitment was Driveline.

Driveline is well known for their high-tech approach, and for training some professional athletes in the off-season. It costs around $6k for a year to do the hitting and pitching. I don’t want to come across as bashing Driveline, they’re a good facility. But 2 hours with Raffy was more rewarding than 2 months at Driveline.

Admittedly I couldn’t commit to a full year at driveline due to change in my career and starting a family. However when contacting them to see if I could continue they were lackluster and never got back to me. I think for that kind of money they should have better customer service.

Raffy worked on so many mechanics. I could feel the immediate changes on how I was making contact with the ball. It was noticeable throughout the whole session. Other training, including Driveline, was just taking a lot of swings. There was little work on mechanics. The attention to detail was 10x better than more expensive programs I’ve used.

I can wholly endorse working with Raffy after 2 visits. Excited to put what I’ve learned to work in games. He even helped with some fielding and pitching drills.

Scott Hemond Baseball brought it again this week!! Hemo’s attention to detail in all facets of the game really sets the bar high compared to other area programs. Unbelievable energy and enthusiasm for teaching the game of baseball in a manner that relates well to the various youth age groups. Hemo doesn’t punch a time clock…he teaches for as long as it takes. Best value/return on your investment!

While visiting family nearby, I wanted to get my 7-year-old son some help with his baseball game. I found this place and got an hour lesson on a whim. Rafael was so great with my son and helped him improve so much that I booked another session later in the week. Rafael seems so great with kids and helps instill a love of the game, while also helping them learn and grow. I just wished we lived nearby so we could go on a regular basis!

Both my 17 year old son and my 11 year old daughter train here. My son started when he was 10. The staff are all great with kids. They expect you to work hard. The coaches are more than qualified and know how to explain technique. We are blessed to have Scott, his staff and this facility so close.
